I decided to check out Altamonte Springs new Caribbean Restaurant, located in the space formerly occupied by Amira's Kosher Deli. As I walked through the door I was greater warmly by Ryan, the son of owners Barbra and Bernard. This is truly a family run business with Ryan taking care of the front of the house while Bernard and Barbra work their magic in the kitchen. When I had a question about how the Stewed Whole Red Snapper was prepared, Ryan asked Chef Bernard to come out and explain it to me and my wife. The stewed snapper was a delight. The fish is served fried and then covered in a tasty brown sauce with fresh tomatoes onions and peppers a great value at $12.50. My wife had the Jerk Pork a nicely spiced dish (not overly spicy) both entrees came with Rice and Peas and steamed cabbage. We started with an order of Beef Patties and a bowl of Conch Chowder. The chowder is not to be missed, it is a large bowl of creamy soup with large pieces of conch, potatoes and carrots. Everything is home made including a killer pepper sauce. B&B offers great food and a wonderful value.

I came here to meet some friends and took two dinner platters to go. The main entrees were fantastic! My husband ordered the jerk chicken and I the sampler platter. These platters come with cabbage and rice/rice and beans. We ordered the rice and beans and felt the beans needed a bit more time, but that did not drop one star in our rating. Highly recommend this place, picking up another order to go as I write this.

If you love Caribbean food, this is your place! My buddy and I frequent here often for lunch. He gets the oxtail, and I the jerk chicken. Both are excellent, though I am a bit biased to the chicken because it is AMAZING. take a moment and check out this small place, you will not be disappointed.

This jerk chicken was on point! You get a lot of food for a decent price. I recommend putting the jerk sauce on the side because it is really spicy. The ambiance isn't to die for, but the food is!

Finally an authentic Caribbean restaurant on this side of town! The menu includes both Trinidadian and Jamaican dishes, ranging from jerk chicken to roti and a range of curries. Prepared with the unique Trinidadian flavor, the curries (channa, shrimp, goat, chicken) are delectable. Get it with the dhal puri for a truly local taste! The staff is always welcoming. The location is currently being renovated, to hopefully reflect a more sleek, welcoming atmosphere.i believe this establishment lacks proper signage, since it is very easy to overlook on busy 436. The owners do have a winning menu, and I will definitely be back to sample more of their food!

I would move to Altamonte Springs just because of this restaurant. The first time I stumbled across them I was lost, (sometimes getting lost is really about finding your way, right?). I was in Altamonte Springs picking up some water from a nearby health food store when after leaving that store I made a wrong turn. That turn happened to land me sitting at a red light with this restaurant in full view. I thought, perfect. I was with my kids and they were all hungry and so was I. It had been awhile since we had some 'home cooked food' from the islands which is the food of our family heritage. We cook island food all the time but when you are in the mood of eating out and want something familiar it's always nice to have an available option. I walked in and scanned the place, (a usual thing for me to do). The music was nice, it wasn't crowded, and I was greeted by the most pleasant smile worn on the face of a beautiful lady. After I began speaking with her I realized she was the owner. I scanned the menu while sitting at the bar sipping on some fruit punch which was refreshing and a perfect relaxer to beating the heat of the afternoon. My eyes felt so good seeing all of the delicious, familiar, foods that my mama and grandmama would having brewing in their pots. I ordered their shrimp roti, fried cod fish cakes, and a vegetable plate consisting of, rice and peas, fried plantains, and a cabbage and carrots vegetable blend. Everything was so tasty and satisfying. That visit was around eight months ago. Way too long. On Sunday I took my husband and two of my daughter's with me and the feast we had was so filling and wonderful and the treatment during being served was exceptional. Please visit if you are looking for some true, authentic, West Indian dishes. Your heart will be content.

Nice Caribbean restaurant. My spouse and I ordered the sampler platter ($11) which has four proteins (curry goat and chicken, jerk chicken and oxtail) along with fried plantains, festival rice and green of choice. The platter is enough for two people to share. FYI the jerk chicken is authentic and as such is SPICY. You have been warned. My only complaint was the wait time. The restaurant was near closing and there were only two other people waiting for food. As a native from the Caribbean, the food cannot be cooked to order, since it takes so long to prepare, so once we placed our order they simply needed to portion it out and serve. I am unsure what caused the delay. Great price for good food. If we are in the area again, we will return.

I'd been meaning to come check this place out for a while after seeing it on yelp. I finally found a reason to today. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. My mom and I came in for lunch and took a booth seat and the guy at the bar welcomed us and brought us menus pretty quickly. We started off with an order of the cod fritters (2 bucks!) which were pretty great. The tartar sauce that came with them was the highlight though. I decided to get the sampler platter with greens, and my mom ordered the king fish esceviche. I guess the cook accidentally plated mine with cabbage instead of the greens, so the server brought me a side of greens with my plate at no additional cost. I'm prettu glad that happened because I got to try both the cabbage and greens, both of which were fantastic. Over the course of the meal I came to the conclusion that when i come back, what I order will depend entirely on my mood at the time, since each thing on the platter was just as great as the next. The oxtails were meltingly tender and deliciously rich. The curried chicken picked up the curry flavor excellently. The curried goat was superb. It made me wish goat was a common a meat here as other areas of the world so I could have it more often. The jerk chicken was perfectly balanced, if just a tad overcooked. The kingfish esceviche was delicious. The vinnegar sauce over it was the bomb. My mom who eats like a birs managed to finish the whole thing, so that makes a pretty strong endorsement. I'll definitely be back, as with excellent food and excellent service, I couldn't ask for much more.

I had been craving for some curry chicken and the only Caribbean restaurants that I know of are located in Orlando. I typed in Caribbean in my Yelp search bar and this place showed up and all of the reviews were great so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant was located about 15 mins from my house which isn't bad although when I called to get to place my to go order and get directions I misunderstood what the man on the phone said so I got turned around but that was my own fault. When I arrived the place looked nice and quaint and the inside was well lit and clean with a few patrons sitting down eating. I was greeted warmly, paid for my food and left. It smelled so delicious in the bag that I was tempted to eat it before I made it home! Once I got home of course I dug in right away.... I got a large curry chicken with white rice and cabbage, it came with plantain and festival and Man let me tell you it was DELICIOUS!! the cabbage was to die for! I have never tasted cabbage so good. I will def be going back. ( I went about 2 wks ago so this review is a bit late)

So good!! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and told to have a seat anywhere we wanted. We ordered a beef patty and double to start off. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The crust on the patty was flaky perfection and the meat was seasoned well. Our double was huge so my husband and I shared it. It was his first time trying one and he fell in love!! We ordered the sampler platter for our entrees and it came out as soon as we were done with our appetizers. It comes with curry chicken, jerk chicken, curry beef stew oxtail, and your choice of white rice or rice and beans. The food had just the right amount of spice: enough of a kick but not too overpowering to where you don't taste anything else but that. Everything was delicious!! I really wanted to try a dessert but was too full to order anything else. You'll definitely be pleased when you eat here. The atmosphere is so great and the people are so nice and friendly, they really do make you feel at home. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for real Caribbean food and I'll be back very soon.

Fantastic place. Went here for lunch with my relatives from out of town. We enjoyed the Stew Oxtail, the Fish Cod Cakes, the Curry Chicken, and the Jerk Chicken Salad. All the items on the menu were fantastic, and we received our food within a half hour of being seated. Definite recommendation for Caribbean food out here!

Been here a few times, and have had several items. The lunch special is good, but wish there was a little more filler like rice. of course it is the lunch special and the quantity I guess matches the price. The sampler is a good size meal, and has four items which is a good variety. The in house hot sauce is wow spicy, and I like it. So overall this is a pretty good Carribean food in this area. Would definitely continue returning to try more items and repeat some.

I am giving this place five stars for one reason and one reason only. There is no 6 star option. This is the first Caribbean restaurant in Florida that I have been to that actually makes you feel like you're back in the islands. The food and the atmosphere are better than good. Great Caribbean spot.

Stopped here on a whim and was very pleased. The place is very clean, and the girl behind the counter was super nice when I made an order to go. They had a special for $3.99 which included a protein and some rice. I opted for the curried goat. It was really good! The prices are very reasonable, and the food seems very genuine.

Excellent meal! If you blink once and drive the speed limit you'll miss B&B Carribean. It is nestled in the old Amira's kosher deli spot, thankfully. We had the ox tail stew and the brown stew chicken. It was seasoned brilliantly and the portions were excellent for the price. The food was just really good and had a real home cooked appeal to it. I left feeling full and happy for not a lot of coin. I will definitely be back and in the mean tune you should stop by and give it a try yourself.
